sis impacts
At She Is Sheep Association there are areas of societal impact we use our core initiatives to drive. These core initiatives are what we call SISIMPACTS. Through our various SISIMPACTS initiatives we are able to spread our reach in different sectors to ensure full view of development.
At SISA, being placed in a box as a non-governmental organization is almost impossible because we strive to connect with as many sectors as possible of which we can impart change.
SISIMPACTS Schemes are attainable within and out of major annual or seasonal events. However, we strive to ensure that these core areas of education are encouraged and focused on through all our agendas and initiatives.
- Safe & Sound – supports the girls on mental, social and public, menstrual and feminine health and wellbeing. Through Safe & Sound we offer free guidance, counseling and mentorship sessions where we help girls to understand who they are, develop their identities, self-reflections, seminars and workshops to enlighten them about personal & feminine health and hygiene.
- Summer Graze – The Summer Graze is an annual summer convention of adolescent girls (SISA GIRLZ) in a summer camp for for up to 10 days where we provide an environment that boosts alternative education through resources and tools that are not offered within the standard African educational institutions. At the Summer Graze girls become sisters, friends, collaborators and solution providers.
- One-on-one Counselling Sessions – These are free sessions between our qualified counsellors, mentors, educators and girls as well as parents to help guide and navigate each child through the journey of growing up. We offer educational consultation to advice both students and parents on making the best decisions concerning educational routes. These sessions are structured to promote sustainable personal development, self awareness and the creation of an environment that promotes open dialogue. For all SISA GIRLZ these sessions are mandatory in partnership with parents and educational providers. Sessions are both virtual and physical to encourage inclusivity, to extend our reach and solidify our impact.
